The Convergence Research (CORE) Institute, funded by the NSF Convergence Accelerator, is designed to catalyze an impact network of researchers and practitioners committed to collaboratively engaging in convergence research that is driven by a specific and compelling societal problem and requires deep integration across disciplines and sectors. 

The CORE Institute is a CICORE initiative at the San Diego Supercomputer Center.

Call for Leadership Council for CORE Institute Fellows: AI & Indigenous Language Revitalization

The CORE Institute is establishing a Leadership Council for its upcoming Fellows Cohort on AI & Indigenous Language Revitalization. The researchers, practitioners, and community leaders selected for the Council will serve as the founding body of a broader CORE Institute Fellows Cohort dedicated to building responsible, community-centered approaches to AI in endangered language contexts.

The CORE Programs provide researchers and practitioners with a foundational experience to position them for impact throughout their careers on the most challenging societal issues of our time.

Our convergence research curriculum equips participants with skillsets to identify use-inspired research problems and leverage data science and artificial intelligence to build solutions at scale.
