Assistant Professor of Statistics in the Department of Mathematics and Statistics at Utah State University (USU)

Prior to his 2019 faculty appointment, Dr. Bean received a bachelor’s degree in Applied Mathematics from BYU-Idaho and PhD in mathematical sciences from USU. Dr. Bean’s research focuses on finding better ways to analyze environmental data to improve decision making in infrastructure design and agriculture. When he is not in the office, Dr. Bean loves hiking, biking, and adventures with his wife, four-year-old daughter, and one-year-old son.
