Nicolas Gauthier
Assistant Curator of AI for Bio/Cultural Diversity in the Florida Museum of Natural History at the University of Florida
He received a PhD in anthropology from Arizona State University and a BA in Archaeology from Boston University. Prior to coming to UF, he was a postdoctoral scholar in the Laboratory of Tree Ring Research at the University of Arizona and Scripps Institution of Oceanography at UCSD. Dr. Gauthier uses computational models to study the environmental contexts of past and present human societies, particularly the ways climate change, population growth, and food production interact over the long term.
